Every Wednesday afternoon an unusual sight awaits those strolling in Bushnell Park in Hartford, Conn. Here 82 year old Anthony Cymerys sets up “shop” giving haircuts to the homeless. Known as “Joe the Barber” he is actually a retired businessman who saw a need in his community. He taught himself the trade and simply set up shop and for 25 years has been providing service to the homeless of his community.
